ConvertWhat happens when you convert RTF to TXT
- Headings, paragraphs, bold and italic text, lists, tables, links and images carry over.
- Fonts, colors, page layout, headers, footers and comments aren't copied: the new file uses clean, standard styling.
- TXT keeps only the words: list items become lines with bullets and table rows become tab-separated lines.

Frequently asked questions
Is it safe to convert my files here?
Yes. Conversion happens entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to a server, so nobody else can see them.
Is it free? Are there limits?
It's completely free, with no sign-up, watermarks or daily limits. The only limit is your device's memory for very large files.
Can I convert many RTF files at once?
Yes. Drop as many files as you like; they're converted one after another and you can download them all as a ZIP.
Will my formatting be kept?
The structure is: headings, bold, italic, lists, tables, links and images. Exact fonts, colors and page layout aren't, so the result looks clean and standard rather than identical.
